Human Resource Development Sub Scheme

Integrated Development of Leather Sector Sub Scheme

This scheme offers help to develop the setup to manufacture, sell, create a job in the industry. The Government will provide about 30% of the cost to create the setup. Brands and manufacturers are getting hope to increase the setup for more products and sales.

Establishment of Institutional Facilities Sub Scheme

This scheme is specially designed for Footwear Design and Development Institutes. To support their infrastructure and system government will provide funds. With the help of such financial support, the institutes can make it a better place for the students and graduate genius minds for the industry.

MILFAC or Mega Leather Footwear and Accessories Cluster Sub Scheme

This sub-scheme also focuses on supporting the infrastructure of footwear and other leather accessories sector. The Government will provide financial support up to 50% of the cost of developing the infrastructure. However, the land for the unit does not count in the cost of development of the plant. The financial help will be gradual as you develop the setup government will keep releasing money for the project.

Leather Technology Innovation and Environmental Issues Sub Scheme

Under this sub-scheme, the Common Effluent Treatment Plants are supported financially to upgrade the plant. The Government will provide 70% of the development or upgradation of the plant, but that would limit up to 200 Crore. This is a great scheme for the footwear manufacturing plants working for over a few decades and need some renovation.

Promotion of Indian Brands In Leather, Footwear and Accessories Sector Sub Scheme
